Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

D&L Tuscaloosa Concrete and Masonry, tuscaloosaconcreteandmasonry.com, hello@tuscaloosaconcreteandmasonry.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use the D&L Tuscaloosa Concrete and Masonry website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for work at your property. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them.

If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the site. Call us at (205) 579-1102 or use our contact page before you book, and we'll go over anything that isn't clear.

What we do

D&L Tuscaloosa Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Tuscaloosa, AL. We work on brick, block, stone and concrete, including repairs, pointing, walls, chimneys, fireplaces, pavers, walkways and foundation work. You can read more about our crew on our About page and see the full list of services from the home page.

The service descriptions on this site are general. The scope of your job is set by the written estimate or agreement we give you, not by the website. If the two differ, the written estimate or agreement controls.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and carry no obligation. We base an estimate on what we can see and measure at your property on the day we visit.

Masonry often hides things until the work is open, such as soft brick behind sound-looking mortar, a failed footing or water damage inside a wall. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you what we found and explain how it changes the work and the price. We won't do extra work or charge for it until you approve it.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material costs or the condition of the job may have changed, so we may need to update it.

Scheduling and cancellation

We'll give you a start date when you approve the work. Masonry depends on the weather, because mortar and concrete need the right conditions to set and cure, so rain, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can push the schedule back. We'll tell you as soon as we know about a delay.

You agree to give our crew reasonable access to the work area, and to keep pets, vehicles and other obstacles out of the way on work days.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as you can by phone or through the contact page. If we've already ordered special materials or started the job, you may owe for materials and labor up to the point you cancel, as set out in your written agreement.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written in your estimate or agreement. Please read them before you approve the work.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is brought up to date. Any approved change orders are added to the total and are due on the same terms unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Our work and warranty limits

We stand behind our workmanship and want you satisfied with every job. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it.

Any written warranty we give you covers only the work and the period stated in it. It doesn't cover damage from settling soil, tree roots, flooding, storms, freeze cycles, vehicles, other contractors, misuse or lack of upkeep, and it doesn't cover parts of your house we didn't work on.

Brick, stone and concrete are natural materials. Some variation in color and texture, hairline cracks in concrete and new mortar that doesn't match old mortar exactly are normal and aren't defects. Materials carry their makers' warranties, which we pass along to you where they apply.

Except as stated in a written warranty from us, the website and its content are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

The articles and service pages on this site are general information, not advice for your specific house. Don't rely on them in place of an inspection of your property.

To the extent Alabama law allows, D&L Tuscaloosa Concrete and Masonry isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the website or from our work. Our total liability on any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Resolving disputes

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first at (205) 579-1102. Most issues get sorted out quickly once we're back on site and can see what you're seeing.

If we can't resolve it together, either side may take the matter to a court with jurisdiction in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.

Governing law

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't alter a written agreement you've already signed with us unless we both agree to it in writing.
